Misi utama dalam ekspedisi yang beranggotakan lima orang ini adalah mencari hulu dari Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Krueng Aceh, pertualangan pertama dimulai dari penelusuran Krueng Lamnyong Darussalam sampai ke Aceh Besar, selain itu juga tim X-ABC I ikut serta meninjau proyek penambangan golongan C (galian C) yang terdapat diseputaran bantaran Krueng Aceh.
Saat penelurusan berlangsung, memang kami mengalami sedikit kendala ketika mengikuti hilir krueng Aceh yang terbelah dua, tepatnya berada di belakang kampus Politeknik Aceh. Tidak ketinggalan tim juga mengabadikan beberapa gambar, sebagai bukti dari penjelajahan yang masih berlanjut.
Setelah berembuk, akhirnya kami mengambil kesimpulan untuk mengikuti DAS Krueng Aceh melewati jalan raya Medan-Banda Aceh. Tidak lepas dari berbagai tantangan, kami ikut serta singgah di seputaran sungai atau dikenal dengan bendungan Lambaro yang dibangun beberapa tahun yang lalu.
